 Many people have had to go through all the taunts and teases while growing up due to a birth defect that may have cause a sight impairment, while other may have gradually lost sight over the years from any number of possible reasons that have left them stuck wearing glasses. To many people, wearing of glasses can be an annoyance as well as cause some self esteem issues. The truth is, that for many, the need to wear glasses is no more.
It is common place now for people that have worn eyeglasses for the last 20 years to undergo laser eye surgery and no longer need the eyeglasses ever again. It makes them a whole new person.

Other possible side effects of corrective laser eye surgery are: glare, dry eyes, difficulty driving at night, seeing halos around images, and fluctuating vision. These side effects are mild and short term; the FDA has not found any long term side effects resulting from the surgery.
